African Union and the EU Summit Joint Declaration

The 7th @_AfricanUnion and the EU Summit Joint Declaration, that was published yesterday (see below), is interesting and a vital step forward.

“We are committed to uphold the rules and principles of the Charter of the United Nations including those of sovereignty and territorial integrity, and political independence, these principles cannot be negotiated or compromised. In this context, we reiterate the obligation of all States to refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force.”

By declaring their commitment to the rules and principles of the Charter of the @UN about sovereignty and territorial integrity, and by reiterating the obligation of all States to refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force, the Joint Declaration have passed several clear and important messages.

These messages must be heard loud and clear across #Africa!

It is a message directly confronting the expansionism and irredentist ambitions of Abiy Ahmed’s militaristic regime of #Ethiopia, which continues to threaten #Eritrea and all its neighbors, destabilizing the Horn of Africa region, and undermining the very principles the #UNCharter stands for.

It is also a message with a firm warning to all external actors, such as the former colonial powers (notably #France and the #UK) and their modern proxies like the criminal zionist regime of the #Emirates, whose financing, arming, and manipulation of militias and mercenary networks fuel fragmentation and secessionist agendas across #Somalia, #Sudan, #Libya, #Nigeria, and beyond.

And finally, it is also a clear warning message to the Macron regime: France’s decades-long interference, neo-colonial engineering, and security manipulation have sown instability and fractured societies across the continent, a legacy of chaos African peoples continue to confront. After being decisively expelled from the #Sahel, Paris is now scrambling to regain influence through disinformation, manufactured crisis, terrorism, and covert military meddling. Africa sees it. Africa rejects it. And no attempt to destabilize #Mali, #BurkinaFaso, #Niger will succeed.

African sovereignty is not negotiable, and no amount of propaganda or terror plots will reverse the march toward true independence.

Africa stands for sovereignty, unity, and the right of every nation to live in peace, free from coercion, destabilization, or neo-imperial designs.
