Ethiopia Caught Between the Mad King’s Dream and Reality.

Ethiopia’s Prime Minister and his circle find themselves caught between daydream and reality—entangled in visions of grandeur that drift far beyond their reach. In their imagination, they dream of possessing Eritrea’s sovereign land and sea, of ruling with unchecked authority while basking in a life of luxury, endless wealth, and the creation of grand empire.

Yet, as the dream fades, reality comes crashing down.

What awaits them is not expansion or prosperity, but the heavy weight of their own internal crises: an unending war that consumes the nation, a society fractured along ethnic and political lines, and the relentless burden of financial strain.

Due to their madness theirs and regular Ethiopians everyday existence becomes a struggle, a stark contrast to the opulent empire they envision—a constant reminder that the empire of their dreams remains only that: a dream.
